Acura is the luxury performance branch of Honda Motor Company. Founded in 1986, Acura first made its name with the Legend, a vehicle so successful it inspired Toyota and Nissan to launch their own upscale brands, Lexus and Infiniti. In 1990 Acura launched the NSX, a mid-engine sports car which at the time could hold a glove to the best of Ferrari. 2016 will finally see the launch of the next generation NSX taking Acura into the hybrid sportscar market. The rest of Acura’s lineup are typically based on their Honda twin sisters but normally feature standard leather seating, heated seats, and sportier driving characteristics.
