New Alfa Romeo Giulia Price, Pictures, and Specs - AutoChoose.com

Giulia

With the successful launch of the 4C and 4C Spider, it was only a matter of time before Alfa Romeo made its way into the sports sedan market. Arguably the most exciting sedan of 2017, the Alfa Romeo Giulia is the Italian manufacturers first production sedan built for the American market. Famously having three different commercials for the 2017 Super Bowl, Alfa Romeo spent millions letting Americans know, "we are here to stay and take on the established Germans". Featuring a svelte Italian design, the Giulia uses tight, muscular bodywork to show off it's curves and of course features the iconic "beak"-like front grille pattern. Opt for the sporty "Quadrifoglio" model and you'll find even more aggressive bodywork, a quad-pipe exhaust (compared to the standard dual-pipe), and an extremely unique front splitter. This active front splitter is an industry first and will extend outwards and downwards to increase downforce but will otherwise stay retracted to ensure you don't scrape that gorgeous bumper on a curb.
The standard Giulia is powered by a 2.0L inline four sending 237 horsepower to either the rear or all four wheels via standard carbon fiber driveshafts. The Giulia is capable of sprinting to 60mph in as little as 5.1 seconds and bringing you back down to a stop are standard large diameter brakes. Although in Europe the Giulia is offered with a 6-speed manual transmission, in the US the only option is an 8-speed automatic. Although a manual would be nice, this quick-shifting automatic has still received high reviews for it's smoothness and short gear changes. Those looking for that special something extra should look towards the 505-hp Quadrifoglio model. Powered by a Ferrari derived 2.9L V6, this Italian stallion can sprint to sixty miles per hour in under four seconds and becomes a knife edge sports sedan ready to take on the likes of the BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG. Thanks to Alfa’s signature D.N.A. drive select system, the driver can decide between a comfort oriented steering, engine, and suspension setup, or one with a more sport-oriented layout. This dual personality allows the Quadrifolglio to be calm and comfortable on a daily basis but can also lap the Nurburgring in an impressive 7:32 and have a top speed of 191mph.
Inside, the Giulia features a handsome combination of leather, carbon fiber, and a 6.2 or 8.8-in wide infotainment screen with 3D graphic navigation controlled via a central rotary knob. The seats are beautifully shaped adding an extensive amount of bolstering but remain comfortable enough for the long drive home. Instead of using cheap plastics, the Giulia's interior is fitted with real aluminum throughout the cabin including large column-mounted paddle shifters. The Alfa Romeo Giulia competes against the BMW M3, Cadillac ATS-V, and Mercedes C63 AMG.
