Audi A5 Cabriolet
Now in its second generation (including facelifts), the new A5 Cabriolet features a redesigned front fascia incorporates a new grille and aggressive front air intakes. Available full LED headlights complete the new look. The rear of the vehicle has also been revamped and features full LED taillights, a new dual-pipe exhaust system, and an optional sporty ducktail spoiler. Most notably, at the touch of a button, the seven-layer cloth top folds neatly into place giving you and your passengers the perfect drop-top feeling you want. Worried about blustery wind with the top down? Install the foldable rear wind deflector to stop circulating air from messing up your hair.
The Audi A5 Cabriolet comes standard with an updated 2.0L turbocharged engine producing 252-hp and 273 lb/ft of torque connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Although the previous generation A5 had front wheel drive as standard, Audi has decided to make it's famed Quattro AWD system standard. Moreover, this new generation of Quattro- designated Quattro Ultra, has the ability to detach the rear wheels from the drivetrain resulting in a large gain in fuel economy. This system is disabled when either "Dynamic" or "Sport" is selected through the vehicle's Audi Drive Select system.
The interior of the A5 has been totally redesigned for 2018 featuring Audi’s newest technology and improved seating surfaces. An impressive customizable drivers display can be optioned to replace a traditional cluster gauge set giving the vehicle a high class touch seen in Audi’s halo R8 supercar. A new MMI system incorporating a central dial with a touchpad is available complete with a large display screen and Google Earth 3D maps. The seats have been restyled and feature soft leather and bolstering keeping you comfortable and supported on any drive. Completing the luxurious interior is an LED ambient lighting feature bathing the interior in a soft glow.
The new Audi A5 is perfect for those looking for top-notch luxury and sporty style by combining a beautifully crafted interior wrapped up in a taught, athletic exterior. Combine these with the updated powertrain and Audi’s legendary QUATTRO® system and the A5 can take on the best of the competition. The Audi A5 Cabriolet competes against other luxury sedans such as the BMW 4 Series Convertible, Mercedes C-Class Convertible, and Jaguar F-Type Convertible.
