Bentley Flying Spur

Although the Bentley Flying Spur as we know it has only been with us for less than ten years, its true origin actually dates back nearly sixty years ago with the original coach built Bentley Continental. Each one of these luxurious limousines was built by H. J. Mulliner & Co to which Bentley today has named its bespoke customization division after. Formally known as the Bentley Continental Flying Spur, this updated Flying Spur ditched its first name for 2015 to better distinguish itself from the rest of the Continental Range. The Bentley Flying Spur’s all-aluminum body panels are sealed and bonded to one another giving the luxury sedan the clean appearance of a single body panel running down the side of the vehicle. The front and rear fascias have also been refreshed to keep the Flying Spur in line with Bentley’s current design language.
The Bentley Flying Spur is available with three different powertrains. The base V8 model features a 4.0L twin turbo V8 (the same used in several Audi models) producing 500-hp and 487lb/ft of torque- plenty to get you to your destination quickly and effortlessly. Moving up the range is the “V8 S” with a modest 21-hp power bump, a stiffer suspension setup, and other upgrades to give you a more sporting feel when behind the wheel. For those looking to truly stand out from the crowd look no further than the Flying Spur equipped with the 6.0L W12 engine (two 3.0L V6s joined at the crank). Boasting an astounding 616-hp and a top speed just shy of 200 mph, the W12 powered limo will give you the feeling of simply wafting from one destination to the next. An adaptive air suspension system and 8-speed QuickShift transmission are standard on all models to ensure perfect comfort no matter the road surface or vehicle load.
Although the design and engineering of any Bentley is superb, it is the interior that Bentley truly stands out from the crowd. Thirteen cows gave up their hides to fit nearly every inch in fine treated leather. A number of stitching patterns are available but we suggest the classic quilted pattern giving your British sedan a true aristocratic look (it is a Bentley after all). A bespoke infotainment system gives you audio, telephone, navigation system, and ride and comfort controls right at your fingertips. If you are sitting in the rear seats a small touch screen remote allows you to control all the vehicle settings as well. An available rear seat entertainment system featuring two 10-inch LCD screens and 4G LTE WiFi will allow you to do whatever you might need too while on the go all the while the special acoustic glazed glass and soundproof panels throughout the body isolate you from any outside interruptions.
The Bentley Flying Spur is a perfect mix of luxury and engineering. Complete with high torque engines and a super luxurious interior the Flying Spur is the perfect vehicle to get you from appointment to appointment- so long you can afford the $200K asking price. The Bentley Flying Spur competes against the Aston Martin Rapide S, Mercedes S65 AMG, and the Rolls-Royce Ghost.
