From the success of the F-Type to the launch of the F-Pace, Jaguar has been on a roll. Leading the pack for Jaguar however has been the extremely successful XF. Having gone through a full refresh for 2016, the new Jaguar XF promises to be even better. Adopting some of its design from the F-Type such as the restyled “J-Blade” LED headlights and taillights; the XF’s body appears taught and muscular. Larger front intakes and a outward bulging hood give the XF a truly aggressive design while still remaining elegant and classy to please the older crowd.
Although the previous generation XF featured a range of engines depending on if you were looking for fuel economy or performance, Jaguar has now given us an engine that can do both. A 3.0L Supercharged V6 sends 340-hp to the rear wheels propelling the XF to sixty miles per hour in just over five seconds. An all-wheel drive system is available for those looking for that extra security while those seeking extra oomph can opt for the tuned 3.0L Supercharged V6 with an added 40-hp over the base engine. A new electric power assisted steering system and an available Adaptive Dynamics suspension system keep you connected to the road with confidence. You can also configure a number of the vehicle’s systems from comfort to dynamic to suit your particular driving style.
Of course falling in line with Jaguar’s current interior design philosophy, the XF is a technological paradise. Three different versions of Jaguar’s INCONTROL system are available ranging from the base 8-inch multimedia screen to the INCONTROL Touch Pro system with its 10.2-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster replacing the traditional gauge cluster. Inside you also find the now familiar rotary transmission selector dial that rises up out of the center console to make start-up that much more exciting. Naturally being a premium luxury brand you will find soft leather throughout the cabin to keep you comfortable no matter how long your journey may be.
Thanks to the success of the XF, Jaguar has turned from a struggling British brand known for unreliability to a respected luxury performance brand. This new generation XF promises to take Jaguar to even higher levels and become a true competitor to the established German marques. The Jaguar XF competes against the BMW 5 Series, Cadillac CTS, and Mercedes E-Class.
